The 2023 edition of the Conferment Ceremony of the Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award (LOGEXA) is set to hold in Abuja.
The conferment ceremony of the annual award which was instituted to promote good governance at the grassroots level will attract dignitaries from across the country.
In a release signed by the Secretary to the Nomination Committee, Olalekan Olatunji, the selection of the awardees was based on the response of the general public to the call for nomination and the exceptional performance of the eventual recipients.
The ceremony which will be preceded by a Workshop on Accelerated Grassroots Development with the topic: Repositioning the Local Government for Accelerated Grassroots Development shall be delivered by Professor James O. Ojobo of the University of Abuja.
Among the Local Government Chairmen to be honoured are: Kehinde A. Oloyede, Oshodi/Isolo LGA; Usman Nalado, Sandamu LGA; Onengiyeofori George, Asari toru LGA; Philip Nnamdi Okoh, Udi LGA and Godday Obi Nzete, Ndokwa LGA.
Others include: Ajah Chinonso Consider, Ohaozara LGA; Onoja James Omachonu, Igalamela/Odolu LGA; Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, Eredo LCDA; Bala Usman Chamo, Dutse LGA and Inusa Bagiwa, Mani LGA.
